Jan 4 Reviews / Happy New Year!

I'm going to leave the mix up for one more week (until the 11th), so if you haven't grabbed it yet, be sure to do so.

I'll probably be catching up on stuff from 2006 I missed for the next three weeks or so, while the release slate slowly ramps up this year. With everything coming out in the next couple months alone, 2007 looks like it's going to be a good one.

also new LPs from Dntel ('Dumbluck)', Low ('Drums & Guns'), Interpol ('Moderation'). Bracken, EITS and some others have leaked already...

lookin forward to another year of reviews

Most of all:
Marissa Nadler and James Blackshaw

Can't wait for those albums. Other than that, I really don't know. I'm still catching up with 2006 so I haven't really had the time to browse through the future releases. Oh yeah, the new Richmond Fontaine, Eluvium and Stars of the Lid should be great also. Hopefully we can expect something from The Books this year. That would be great!

I've just been over to the ever-informative and excellent Brainwashed site, and have noticied the following:
Lucky Pierre ("Dip")
Pelican ("After The Ceiling Cracked")
Jesu ("Conquerer")

There's plenty to look forward to in 2007.
So far listed for me there'll be:
Explosions In The Sky
Do Make Say Think
Crippled Black Phoenix
Pan Sonic
The Fall
Cindytalk (although not confirmed yet)
Staffraen Hakon

I wasn't aware of new ones from Fridge and Port-Royal, so that's even better.

thankfully no,

looks like they're still going to be prviding quality music and hopefully some more amzing live shows

"Radiohead, Portishead, Massive Attack, Smashing Pumpkins, and Spiritualized"

aren't these bands buried yet?!?!

You can find my email on the FAQ page or just send it to the same address on the Readers List page. Thanks.

sorry, where can I access your email?

and i'll forward those links

If you use iTunes, the links and other info (artwork) should show up in your artwork window when you're playing the mix. I haven't messed with any other players, honestly, but I've read that the .m4a format will also play in Quicktime player, Real player, VLC Media Player, and Winamp. I'm not sure how any of those latter players support the metadata, however. If someone wants to chime in on here with that information, that would be cool.

Thanks for the great mixes.
Q: what are you using to view the additionnal info (like links and stuff...)

Feel free to drop me an email with the label that you're talking about and I will check it out when I get the chance. Right now, I try to give favor to those who send me stuff (as well as things that I buy that I really enjoy), but I'm willing to give everything a listen.

You're right!,

Im looking forward to new albums from...

Radiohead, Portishead, Massive Attack, Epic45, Explosions In The Sky, Eluvium, Port-Royal, Grinderman, Smashing Pumpkins, Arcade Fire, Crippled Black Phoenix, Fridge, Do Make Say Think, and Spiritualized
